Art Froehlich   Your Former   Board Chair

On behalf of the Calgary Region Community Board Persons with Developmental Disabilities, I would like to express my appreciation to everyone who I had the pleasure of working with during the past several years as I pass the torch to Jeff Nish who was appointed Chair of the Board effective December 13, 2006.

During my term as Board Chair, I have enjoyed the opportunity to provide leadership to the Board as we have overcome challenges, welcomed new opportunities and worked diligently to advocate on behalf of individuals with developmental disabilities.

Thank you to everyone for their dedication and support. It has been a privilege to work with Board members who want the very best for the individuals we serve. As we have advocated for the rights of individuals with developmental disabilities, we have all learned much about what it truly means to be included.

Also, our sincere appreciation to Ken Larsen and Lili Bunce who chose not to let their names stand for another appointment process and will not be continuing as Board members.

A special thank you to Ken and Lili for their past work on the Board and for their dedication and commitment to supporting persons with developmental disabilities in the community.

I would like to wish Mr. Nish and the new Board all the best as you explore new opportunities to assist adults with developmental disabilities to reach their goals.
